If you have a decent gaming mouse then avoid using hard mouse pads. I have learnt it the hard way, hard mouse pads will damage your mouse gliders in the long run.

Build quality – pretty sturdy. Very nice glossy black matte finish.

Value for money – definitely good compared to other branded stuff.

Mouse reaction on hard surface – compared to the rubber mouse pad below this is much more sensitive and amazing. Though there is less friction for say FPS games thisnis brilliant. Instant change of movement.

Maintenance – Do be careful of oily hands or greese. It does stain a bit. Use a wet tissue or cloth and keep it clean regularly. Dust will accumulate but can be brushed off easily.

Lighting – One annoying this will be having to set it up the lighting option each time your system starts up. Which is fine if you use the computer one time a day, but of therr are updates and need multiple restarts, a bit annoying. Also it doesn’t sync with any lighting control software of a motherboard or any OEM. It’s just the two buttons on the mat.

Button 2 – brightness adjustment

Cable care – Careful with the cables. I initially recieved one which had a slight loose connection and needed to be held in place for the led lights to work. So try to avoid anything being pulled or stretched . Use cable organizers on the table to keep it safe.
Was able to replace the defective item immediately. Kudos Amazon for that.

Overall a no brainer to buy if you want a hard gaming mouse mat with LED.

The product is absolutely good. Just need to point out a few things that might be helpful.

1. The surface is smooth, like too smooth so if you are a FPS player then you might have to tweak you sensitivity.

2. The LED underglow is cool but you will get the best possible look from a table with clean black or white top. Wooden finishes won’t look good enough.

3. There’s a bump where the cable connects and if you are having a heavy mouse having metal parts (I’m using Corsair M65 pro RGB ) then you might end up with scratches.

4. A cable clip at the top end could help with cable management but a black tape will do the job too.

It is a hard mousing surface which I prefer. If you are looking for a soft/cloth one – don’t buy this. It feels quite well made and finished. You do have to set the colour each time you fire up your computer but it is very quick and easy to do. Big bonus is that it does not come with a huge bloatware software/driver package to install – plug it in and illumination works. No software needed.

I bought this and the new Razer V2 at roughly the same time – having previously had the V1 Razer. I use some slighly older Mad Catz MMO mice and thought that the Razer new version would be a simple replacement. For some reason the surface on the Razer causes my mouse to skip and jump so I had to donate it to my wife – it seems ok with newer laser/optical mice.

I prefer the look and feel of the Amazon Basics one over its more expensive counterpart. I prefer the symmetry of this one rather than the offset connector of the Razer. The mousing surface on this works fine with all the mice I use – no skipping, lag or jumping.

I would recommend this if you want a decent, responsive hard mouse surface with a finished smooth edge. lighting is always just the gimmick really. Some of the other non-lit hard mouse surfaces have a hard cut edge which I do not like – I have the Logitech one which has this “sharp” edge.

Bottom line – I find it very good for gaming and general use – if you dont mind setting the lights just once when you first boot up – consider buying this over expensive alternatives.

I had a cloth cover over rubber mat and the cloth started to peal off of the rubber. It’s night and day difference with this pad. I had no idea why my shoulder was always hurting after working on my PC, now I know, it was the mouse pad. This thing is not only amazingly beautiful but my mouse glides like lube on glass. How about, it guides like a feather over marvel. The thing is very stable and I could not be happier. Only concern is how long will the light continue to work but it’s such a small concern because the light has no effect on the pad. I like the size and like the lights.

 Ich habe dies Pad als Warehouse deal für 12,58 erhalten. Ich hatte bereits ein xxl Stoff Mousepad mit dem ich eigentlich zufrieden war bis jetzt. Warum also dieses upgrade? Nun, ich hatte immer das Gefühl das meine Maus nicht leicht genug über die Stoffoberfläche gleitet und mir in den entscheidenen Zehntel Sekunden damit Nachteile beim FPS spielen einbringt. Dieses Pad ist hart. Eine spezielle Kunststoff Oberfläche mit gummierter Unterseite. Ich habe das Pad einfach auf mein xxl pad draufgelegt und es hält bombenfest wie angeklebt. Möglich das es bei sehr glatten Schreibtisch Oberflächen etwas rutscht. Das kann ich nicht bestätigen. Ein Test direkt auf meinem Schreibtisch verlief zufriedenstellend. Das USB Kabel für die Beleuchtung ist lang genug das ich es direkt an meinem Monitor anschließen kann. Die Beleuchtung selbst lässt sich auf vielfälltige Art und Weise einstellen.

Das wichtigste: Die bewegung der Maus auf dem Pad geht überaus leicht vonstatten. Das hätte ich nicht erwartet. Die Maus gleitet beinahe wie ein Puck auf einem Airhockey Tisch. Weniger Gleitwiderstand geht nicht mehr. Mir hat das sofort den einen oder anderen kill eingebracht. In diesem Punkt 10 von 5 Sternen. Und das war für mich der entscheidene Punkt weswegen ich dieses Pad gekauft habe. Sehen sie sich mein Video dazu an.

Als kleinen Kritikpunkt führe ich folgendes an: Wenn Sie eine kabelgebundene Maus benutzen wird das Kabel der Maus immer über den Anschluss oben geführt (wo der Pad Anschluss und die Einstellknöpfe sind, sorry mir fällt kein anderes Wort dafür ein). Das merkt man bei der Bewegung der Maus weil das Kabel immer etwas hängenbleibt. Abhilfe könnte hier ein Maus Bungee bringen. Ich nutze deswegen eine kabellose Maus. Übertragungsprobleme zur kabelgebundenen konnte ich nicht feststellen. Wenn ich Ihnen mit meiner Rezension bei Ihrer Kaufentscheidung geholfen habe würde ich mich über ein Däumchen freuen.
